Advanced Dermatology Care of Southern California is a comprehensive dermatology group providing general & surgical dermatology, cosmetic enhancements and plastic surgery with two Southern California locations. Under the direction of Michael P. Tabibian, M.D., Medical Director, our collective experience aims to provide our patients innovative and highly individualized skin treatment solutions for patients of all ages and skin types.

Michael P. Tabibian, MD

Board-Certified Dermatologist & Surgeon

Having graduated from UCLA School of Medicine in 1993 with Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Tabibian finished his residency training in dermatology in 1997 where he was trained in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and dermatopathology. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Board of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery (Practicing Mohs surgery since 2000), and a member of the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He currently serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he trains internal medicine residents doing electives in Dermatology.

David Hsu, MD

Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist

Dr. David Hsu is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He was born and raised in Taiwan and immigrated to the US when he was 14. After graduating from San Marino High School, he received his BA degree in Biology from UC Berkeley. He received his MD and MBA degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.

He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Hsu also received MPH (Master of Public Health) degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. After completing his residency, Dr. Hsu practiced at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He then moved to Omaha, NE to help build and develop a brand new cancer center there and practiced as the head of radiation oncology.

Dr. Hsu has recently returned to our community as a medical director to help develop AHMC International Cancer Center.

Ralph Massey, MD

Cosmetic & Skin Cancer Surgeon

Dr. Massey is a cosmetic and skin cancer surgeon. He graduated from Cambridge University and London University in England prior to completing his dermatology residency in the United States. Dr. Massey went on to complete a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic and Cosmetic Surgery at Columbia University in New York.

Dr. Massey is an award-winning surgeon, winning the prestigious Theodore Tromovitch award from the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery for excellence in research in dermatologic surgery. As well as lecturing extensively, Dr. Massey has published numerous articles on dermatologic surgery in leading peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Massey is both Fellowship trained and Board-Certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.

For several years Dr. Massey taught dermatologic and cosmetic surgery at Columbia University. He has continued his commitment to teaching through UCLA where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Massey is also Director of both the Skin Cancer Group and the Cosmetic Surgery Center of Santa Monica.

Merrick Brodsky, MD

Cosmetic Dermatologic and Laser Surgery

Dr. Brodsky is a highly trained dermatologic surgeon, holding double board certification in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. His background includes advanced fellowships in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery, dermatologic oncology, facial cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic/laser dermatology. He is excited to return to his hometown of Long Beach, CA, to join the team at Laser Skin Care Center.

He began his academic journey at the University of California, Irvine, where he earned degrees in biological sciences and anthropology. While at UCI, he not only excelled academically but also played collegiate rugby, achieving recognition as a Collegiate All-American Sevens Rugby athlete. He went on to earn his medical degree at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Brodsky completed his dermatology residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center, where he discovered a passion for surgical dermatology. He continued with two advanced fellowships: first at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and The James Cancer Hospital, focusing on Mohs surgery, dermatologic oncology, and facial reconstruction; and later under Dr. Cameron Chesnut at Clinic 5C / Chesnut Institute, where he trained extensively in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures including lifts, blepharoplasty, fat transfer, lasers, hair transplantation, and regenerative therapies.

After finishing his training in 2023, Dr. Brodsky practiced dermatologic surgery in Columbus, Ohio, serving as faculty at several institutions including The Ohio State University Medical Center and The James Cancer Hospital. He performed Mohs surgery, reconstructive procedures, and mentored both residents and fellows. He also remained active at Clinic 5C, performing cosmetic surgeries and assisting with fellowship training.

He is an invited speaker at national medical conferences and has contributed research and publications to medical journals and textbooks. Outside of medicine, Dr. Brodsky enjoys mountain biking, skiing, surfing, outdoor adventures, and spending time with his fiancée, family, and friends.

Physician Assistant

With over 15 years of experience and knowledge in both clinical and cosmetic dermatology and a licensed physician assistant since 1998, Quint practices dermatology in our Los Alamitos office He attended WesternUniversity of Health Science, a private medical school in Pomona, California. Quint has passed the national certifying examination developed by the National Board of Medical Examiners, became certified by the national commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and was licensed by the California Board of Medicine. Quint is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of various dermatological diseased including skin rashes, removal of benign and malignant skin tumors, cosmetic procedures such as BOTOX® and fillers such as JUVÉDERM®, and laser treatment using the Diode laser.

Diane is a Family Nurse Practitioner licensed by the California Board of Registered Nursing and board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received both her Bachelors in Nursing and Masters from California State University, Long Beach. Diane has 7 years of nursing experience and specializes in various cosmetic procedures, including injectables such as Botox and Juvéderm, laser hair removal, IPL, and microneedling. She also diagnoses and treats various clinical dermatological concerns.

With extensive experience in dermatology, Jessica provides both medical and cosmetic care. She specializes in aesthetic procedures including Botox®, Juvederm®, Radiesse®, microneedling, PRP for the face and hair, IPL, chemical peels, and Hydrafacials®. In addition, she diagnoses and treats a wide range of dermatologic conditions such as acne, hair loss, rashes, and both benign and malignant skin growths.
